I am so getting this necklace from Oh, Hello Friend! Love it!!!
Did you know that Land's End has a new line called Canvas? The clothes look pretty decent... I'm kinda surprised since I always thought of their brand a bit boring/grandma-ish. I'm thinking of ordering some pieces...The prices are super inexpensive (compared to lovely J.Crew).
PS: There's free shipping (no minimum) using promo code CANVASFB & pin 00001174. This offer expires 3/7/10.

Here's hoping everyone has a shiny and star-filled Oscar weekend! Do you have any special plans? The weather is supposed to be quite nice in upstate (after the 20 inches of snow last weekend, it will be a really welcome change). On Sunday, CN and I will head down the street to the neighbors to catch the Oscars with some movie-buff friends. I can hardly wait, even though I've been so delinquent in my film going these days. It hardly matters...even if you haven't seen the films, the spectacle is usually enough to entertain and then of course, there are always those clothes :)
Have a great one guys!
Did you catch these fantastic, abstract representations of sandwiches by Dan Kenneally (via Black*Eiffel). Lunchbox is a series of painting which uses a single color to represent the different ingredients in a sandwich. I am a complete fanatic about color field painting (Kelly, Rothko et al) and these, to my eye, fall right into that category. So clever and beautiful! PB & J might just be my favorite, in case you are wondering :)
Don't forget to run to Target on Sunday, March 7th...Interestingly enough it's only going to be at certain locations...It's survival of the most fashionable!

Don't you love these magnets?! Gifts from a friend's recent trip to NYC and the Met (where they saw, the apparently amazing new production of 'Carmen'). Could they have found a more perfect gift for me...magnet crazy as I am?!
A friend of mine has been going on about his old Asic Onitsuka Tigers from the 70's as if they were the only show ever made. Well, now I've seen them and I get it ... they are awesome!
*Thanks for the tip Oh Joy!
You know I am addicted to "The Real Housewives of NYC". From the promos, this looks to be the usual riduculousness...and I can hardly wait!
Oh Bravo...you are truly 'great' tv :)
I discovered a new Bravo show recently....Kell on Earth. It stars Kelly Cutrone, the head of a fashion PR firm. It's so much fun to see how they work fashion week and all the people it takes to run shows...What I find most interesting is that Kelly doesn't dress all that well for a gal who works with fashionistas all day long. Her outfits are all black (which I have no problem with, of course)..but she always looks like a mess. I mean, how does she get away with that...and still manage to work with big designers? It's a fun show and I was hooked for a couple of hours....
Talk about an unbeatable combination...LeSportsac and Fifi Lipin. Just adorable!

I'm loving the Roseau messenger bag from Longchamp. BTW, are you ever too old to sling a bag across the body? Just wondering what you think...I must admit I'm still guilty of this...

Hi everyone! I was a bit under the weather last week...but I'm finally feeling better. You might be wondering what the two images are of--it's a strange fusion joint in Seoul that places pasta dishes inside handy ice cream cones. Truly bizarre!..but sounds fun. We're headed to Korea at the end of the month...Our itinerary includes island hopping, going through a port city, traveling through the mountains, and then finally ending up in Seoul. In the coming weeks I'll post some more about Korea and things I hope to do while there...In the meantime, take a look at this great foodie blog and read a great travel piece from the NY Times.
I finally got around to watching "The September Issue" and ended up falling in love with Grace Coddington. I know Katie did a lovely post on this doc already, but I just wanted to add a few things I noticed: 1) Ms. Wintour isn't that interesting 2)The folks who work for her (w/ the exception of Ms. Coddington) are quite pitiful--they shake at the mere thought of Anna's wrath! 3)Grace Coddington should get her own documentary! I'm assuming RJ Cutler purposely juxtaposed the two characters...
I think Phoebe Philo is quite interesting....Great article in the Times...Plus, her name just sounds kinda cool.
Loving the new Kate Moss collection from Longchamp.
