I love brooches in general but I have always really loved slightly old-fashioned style Christmas pins. They remind me of the kind you might see on your grandmothers best coat...the one she wore once a year to midnight mass. You can probably only get away with them this time of year, but they are so festive and such a lovely way to make any outfit more Chrstimas-y (and no, you don't have to get one of those hideous sweaters :)
i love this homage to the brooch! my mom always wears a brooch and so i always equate the two together... we were just talking about christmas-y brooches the other day! love it to pieces!
ReplyDeleteoh one more thing: please, please no hideous xmas sweater! can you believe that at the annual university holiday party they're encouraging folks to don their favorite holiday sweaters??? that should be outlawed!

ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is with the holiday sweaters? No matter how much people make fun of them, there are always these yo-yo's who wear them. I don't get it. There are so many better ways to be festive. Why look like a walking Christmas tree?
