| Hi kids! Welcome back! I hope you all had a perfect 4th of July weekend. Mine was wonderful ... beginning to end. It almost felt like a mini-vacation even though I didn't actually go anywhere. The weather was spec-tac-u-lar! No other way to describe it. I had the chance to see some awesome friends I haven't seen in months, we had a blast at 'fight night' (even though Faber lost...poor Chris) and watched lots of tennis and the Tour de France. But the big event of this weekend was walking...walking...and more walking. Chris and I walked everywhere. All over the city on Sunday and then Charlotte beach (above) on Sunday. He also took me to this trail right off the 'beach' (below) which was completely gorgeous! Laura and Zeus, get ready to check this out when you come up! (By the way, sorry the pics are kind of, well, dull...I expected to take so many more this weekend but got kind of distracted by all the photographing Chris did) |
I smiled when I saw the name of this post because that is exactly what I'm feeling like right now. It is SO difficult to go from a wonderfully relaxing and refreshing holiday weekend to being a work-a-holic. I'm supposed to be working this evening but I'm closing my computer and watching TV. Work be damned!
