Thanks on Thanksgiving

The best thing about Thanksgiving is that there are no strings attached. The only real obligation anyone has (other than cooking that turkey) is remembering all the things you have to be thankful for.

My 'thank you' list is simple...it starts with my mom...Laura and Joe...and of course my best bud, Chris. I am not sure where I'd be without this fantastic foursome. I hope everyone is lucky enough to have even one person as amazing any one of these outrageously awesome people.

My father...for setting the standard so high...no one will ever compare.

Ms. M...after 14 years of friendship, ups and downs, love and loyalty...I hope you get everything that you so rightfully deserve and you so deeply desire.

Finally...I am thankful for the health and happiness of all these people...and for myself ;)

Eat, drink & be merry to everyone!

  1. So Great :-) I have some tears in my eyes. Everyone must have a Kate! I missed you this Thanksgiving, I will never forget how much fun we had last year. Black Friday shopping with Joe and mom was not really awesome, definitely not the best shoppers. Everything I picked up Joe said "you don't need that" No fun!! I kept saying "of course you don't need it, that's not the point!"

I love this picture from a fun winter hike at my favorite place, Ohiopyle. :)

  2. Well, I only speak the truth Laura! You guys are the best :)

I can see how mom and Joe might not be so much fun on Black Friday. You certainly don't need someone saying 'you don't need that' :) I can only imagine that mom was even worse.

Don't worry...when you come here, those are definitely words you won't hear from me! I think the only stuff I bought this weekend was stuff I didn't need!

My house is looking very Christmas-y too!

  3. I am so looking forward to decorating the tree, maybe tonight.:) I did end up buying some christmas cards now I just have to take the perfect picture of Zeus and Chaka. I also found some really cute mitten ornaments from target which I hung on my bedroom doors, they're so cute!! They were only 99cents so Joe and mom didn't give me a hard time.
I can't wait to come to Rochester!!!

We got stuck in two hours of traffic bumper to bumper yesterday, it was not very fun. Chaka Malik was harassing us all night, she was so happy to see us, sweet sweet girl!!

  4. Ugh...2 hours of traffic. That sounds awful. Are the Pittsburghers sad that the Steelers lost in overtime...for the 2nd week in a row. They should feel bad...they played without Roethlisberger and Polamalu and still almost won.

I can't wait for you guys to come up. Chris and I was waiting! Yesterday, we went to Wegmans and had breakfast! It was delicious...blueberry pancakes, french toast, potatoes, egss...yummy!! We will go...and then do lost of shopping :)
