Hello, Friday....!

Asia Society Museum!
Paris VS New York

MOMA Abstract Expressionist Exhibit

Good morning, everyone!  Hope you've had a nice week so far...because today is FRIDAY and I am so glad the work week is (almost) coming to an end!!!
Sorry for being a bit of a recluse most of this week, but I've been a bit busy with meetings & new projects at the library...Amazing how work gets in the way of blogging!

I do have to work a weekend shift, but that's alright because....
I am heading to NY for a few days before the Thanksgiving break.
On my itinerary is seeing the Yoshitomo Nara exhibit at the Asia Society Museum, feasting at Eataly,
and more museum hopping at MOMA's Abstract Expressionist Exhibit(I am so psyched to see my Mark Rothkos!)....Plus I have to visit the new Marc Jacobs store, Bookmarc because those school supplies look amazing.

I'm not particularly looking forward to the holidays this year because it will be the first one without my dad so this sort of gives me a pleasant distraction from more of the traditional festivities....
Don't get me wrong, I am looking forward to time off from work & eating my share of yummy turkey....it's just that I don't want to focus too much on the "holiday-ness" (that is so not a word!) of it all.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and who really cares about work next week, right?  I kinda see today as the beginning of the zombie-work period. It starts today and goes all the way through the beginning of Xmas.  Thank goodness for breaks!

cheers everyone!

  1. You weekend in NYC sounds simply fabulous!! What a great idea. Nothing beats NYC at this time of year and will go a long way to making you feel a little better. That said, that first holiday without your dad can really leave you feeling like you dont' know what to do with yourself. I think you have the best idea KJ...which is just to treat it like some glorious and well deserved days off! Frankly, isn't that what we ALL love about the holiday most.

And you are so right...as of next week, the great time suck begins. Who doesn't love this time of year...when, for a month, screwing around is totally acceptable and justified :)

I hope you hav the most wonderful trip KJ. Love to you and your family!
