I am VERY interested in checking out this cookbook which is supposed to be one of the most comprehensive when it come to Greek cuisine. Vefa's Kitchen was featured on NPR's list of the best Cookbook of the Summer of '09 and is described as the "Greek Joy of Cooking". Some of the other books on this list looked very interesting also. Even though I grew up eating Greek food, I never really had an training in the more popular dishes and I have been looking for a decent Greek cookbook forever. I think this is it. And by the way, if I were to judge a book by its cover, I'd give this book the best reviews. Its beautiful!7.21.2009

ReplyDeleteI'm a big Phaidon fan also. I mean how can you go wrong with a cookbook published by company that does art books. I have other books by this 'Vefa' person but the recipes are way to hard to follow.
