I heart NY

I moved to NY in my mid 20s and fell in love with the city. You know that feeling that you have about a place that just fits you? I loved the fast paced nature of everything in the city.....the walk, the people, the attitude. I had finally found my city. There's no place like it in the world. You can wander the streets and find something new every single day of the week. It didn't hurt NY was also the shopping mecca of the world. Every time I go back to visit, I still feel the excitement....My heart starts to beat a little faster...and I feel right at home again.....like I never left. I love you, NY!

  1. I will always associate you with NYC, Ms. Macaron. It's just your town. I remember our first trip there together. Do you recall? Nov. of '95...drove down in the morning (4am I believe) ... headed back in the late evening (I think we hit a nasty snowstorm in Syracuse). When we got back to Rochester we were dead tired but it was so worth it. I don't remember when I had so much fun. We had other fabulous times there too. The Macy's parade in '97. Your wedding. I always remember the summer of '97 when you first moved down to NJ and I came to visit. Such a fabulous trip. We sat a Greek restaurant and people watched for hours. For some reason that trip always sticks out in my head...but then again they were all so good.

  3. Oh my gosh...I totally have Toronto on my list of future posts. It's so good I think it deserves at least a couple posts. Remember the time we went to Toronto for dinner! Or the time I went to buy Hush Puppies. Remember how we always used to start out trips in Toronto by eating in the Greek section. I am so with you...I get so nostalgic for those times.
