For many years, my sister lived in Boulder Colorado. When I would visit her, I was always struck by the outdoorsy, casual dress style. I suppose every region has its own fashion sense but I never experienced the idea of taking the spirit of the outdoors and making it fashionable until I went to Colorado. I instantly fell in love with the idea of wearing day hiking shoes around town, like a New Yorker might wear their best dress shoes. Make no mistake about it, Boulderites don't do this for fashions sake alone...when you see them at the local coffee shop, decked out in their gear, it is usually because they just came from hiking the side of some mountain, or snow boarding, or biking or any other number of activities they pursue. I quickly learned which names made the best gear and Patagonia seemed to be at the top of every list. And I have to say, I treasure my Patagonia items just as I do my LV.
I love this post because Patagonia makes the best outdoor clothing by far. I just wore my patagonia tank for a long run on Saturday and I forgot I was wearing a shirt it was so lightweight and comfortable. I also have two patagonia dresses that I love!
ReplyDeleteI knew you would agree! Remember how much dad loved his Patagonia jacket...who knew that he would be the first to discover how great it is.
