I love love love geraniums. They remind me of Greece where they grow like weeds. They are far and away my favorite houseplant which is also why they cause me so much grief. I have so much trouble growing them despite numerous attempts. I had all but given up, blaming everything from myself to the incongruous climate of Upstate NY. I decided to try, just one more time, this summer. Coincidentally, it also happened to be the summer I discovered a little product called 'Miracle Gro'. OK, so "Miracle Gro' has been around forever and folks who actually know something about gardening swear by it, but I never imagined it REALLY worked. It does! This year I am boasting one big, beautiful geranium with fabulous pink blooms...and I could not be more excited!
That is awesome! Go geranium! I just put some Miracle Grow on my hydrangea and they are looking so beautiful! It is so exciting when your plants don't shrivel up.
ReplyDeleteYes! My geranium is doing great...I am so happy to hear about your hydrangea. The only thing now is that the sparrows have discovered the geranium...but I'd rather have them get to it than kill it myself!
ReplyDeletemiracle grow!!! the drug of choice for plants... my mom has used it for years and swears by it and so do i! i love the single packs where you just mix water w/ the small packet. very handy. love geraniums too... i have a bunch of red ones in my front yard.
