The last weekend in July, a friend and I are planning a day trip down to Ithaca, NY. It's about 2 hours southeast of Rochester and is a little treasure of a city. In addition to the gorgeous waterfalls and gorges, it is also home to Cornell University and Ithaca College and the famous vegetarian Moosewood Restaurant. The downtown area is also loaded with all sorts of fantastic little shops (my favorite are the stores specializing in outdoor gear) . It really is one of those places that has something for everyone.
I would love to visit Ithaca sometime it sounds so beautiful and I've heard its got an awesome outdoor life.
ReplyDeleteChris and I are going down July 31 (actually we might go this weekend). I cannot wait. It's perfect when you want to gt out of town and its not far. It has lots of cool outdoor stores and I am very excited to the Moosewood!
