...who out there remembers (and I know you do Ms. Macaron...we bonded over this when we first met) Tom Ford's brilliant 1995 collection for Gucci? I am not sure, in my 25+ years of following fashion, that I can recall any other fashion moment so vividly. This collection probably solidified Ford's status as a design genius (and my all-time fashion crush). The updated version of his 60's inspired styles blew me away. To this day, I have the image of Amber Valletta strutting down the runway in his creations, burned in my brain.

oh! how i loved 1995....i think this was Vogue's best year... i remember clipping so many great layouts. ah! memories!
