I love Wes Anderson's films. His talents are limitless and his signature style is incorporated into all his movies. The lush saturation of colors, the quirky characters.....they're all a feast for the senses. I hear he's coming out with an animated feature in November based on Roald Dahl's Fantastic Mr. Fox. Also check out this blog dedicated to all things Anderson. It's quite amusing.
I really think Wes Anderson is a director who has the following of some big movie stars...that is, when his fans find out he has a film coming out, they don't care what the reviews are, what the film is about, who is in it...they go see it just based on the fact that he is the director. Not too many directors have the pull...Pedro Almodovar is another one...for me the ultimate is Wong Kar Wai (post coming soon :)
